I received news this week that the local theatre group I am co-writing a Christmas pantomime with, has voted to go ahead with a 2022 play as long as the theatres are open. I have been working on several Tudor-themed projects behind the screens, so the shift back into panto mode is a bit of an adjustment. To bridge the gap, I decided to write a short comedic scene in a script format featuring Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII.
Those who have followed me on Instagram for some time, know I love making short Tudor-themed comics using my Tudor dollhouse and peg dolls. I have not had much time to create any new comics lately, but perhaps as I was trying to access my inner goof-ball this morning, an idea popped into my mind as I was waiting for the kettle to boil. I am a bit swamped at the moment and do not have the time to take the photos and edit the graphics to make a new Tudor comic. However, I decided to jot down my idea as I drank my morning coffee.
What I ended up with was a script that gave me a few early morning giggles. I hope you enjoy it and will be posting it in a new section called Inkblot Comedy. I will explain what that means in my next post.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. A long weekend, here in Canada. Rain and laundry are in the forecast, but I am still planning to get out and find something fun and new to see. Hope you can too!
